Lead plates are produced out of lead sheet and cut to size for specific applications. The advantage of lead plates in relation to lead sheet is the lower weight per piece and the possibility to get it supplied flat instead of on roll. Lead plates are used by industrial customers which need the lead to be delivered flat for their own machinery. Lead weathering manufacturers sometimes also prefer to work with a lead plate because it saves them time and labour or because of certain required tolerances.
